Global Wellness Summit Announces “Virtual Access Package” for 2020 Hybrid Event

The conference, with its urgent theme of “Resetting the World with Wellness” in the wake of COVID-19, will take place both in-person and virtually, allowing entire global wellness community to participate in the event (Nov. 8-11); Virtual Access Package also includes exclusive access to the Global Wellness Institute’s major 2020 research report on the global mental wellness economy

Miami, FL – October 13, 2020 – The Global Wellness Summit (GWS), the foremost gathering of international leaders in the multitrillion global wellness economy, today announced it will be a hybrid event: combining its in-person conference with a virtual access package: a comprehensive, three-day, virtual pass to the event taking place at The Breakers Palm Beach from November 8-11, 2020.

Virtual attendees will receive:

  • Live, virtual access to all main stage keynotes, panels and interviews with world wellness experts.
  • Access to the Global Wellness Institute’s 2020 research report, the first on the mental wellness economy.
  • Interactive, global “think tank” and networking sessions, where their insights are heard and published.
  • Virtual access to the new Tech Innovation Pavilion.

The cost of the Virtual Access Package is $500, and 2020 marks the first year such access will be granted. REGISTER HERE

Information on the 2020 GWS agenda can be found here. Numerous additional keynotes and panels will be announced next week.

All Main Stage Keynotes & Panels:
Virtual Access Package participants will experience all live sessions taking place on the main stage of the Summit, including high-profile keynotes and expert panels on the future market opportunities across wellness sectors–and how the pandemic is leading to a historic “wellness reset” for vast industries including traditional medicine, technology, travel and hospitality, food and nutrition, the workplace, real estate and communities, and beauty.

Exclusive Access to 2020 Research:
Both virtual participants and in-person delegates will be the only individuals to have access to the Global Wellness Institute’s centerpiece research report for 2020: “Defining the Mental Wellness Economy.” This pioneering study, the first to benchmark and analyze the explosive and complex mental wellness space, identifies the current and emerging services, products and technologies that constitute the market, including meditation and mindfulness, coaching, self-help, sleep, stress and anxiety-related products, and more. The market data for this new space will show where the best opportunities lie.

Interactive “Think Tank” & Global Networking Sessions:
Virtual attendees will participate in interactive sessions via Zoom, discussing, debating and charting the future of the wellness industry while networking with global colleagues, a unique platform that ensures that every virtual delegate’s voice and insights are heard. These interactive conversations, hosted by Anna Bjurstam, Wellness Pioneer at Six Senses and co-chair of the 2020 Summit, will take place each day (separately) for US/European and Asian virtual attendees.

In-person delegates will also participate in collaborative, think-tank sessions (held outdoors in the afternoons) on the role that various wellness sectors can positively play in resetting the world, and what each wellness segments’ biggest future market opportunities are.

The global insights gathered from both virtual and in-person delegates forecasting the future of wellness will be aggregated into a report released at the GWS’ research press event held in New York in January 2021.

Virtual Access to the New Tech Innovation Pavilion:
GWS virtual participants and in-person delegates get the first look at newly launched wellness innovations spurred on by the pandemic, with in-person and virtual demos both from the main stage and the conference’s first-ever Tech Innovation Pavilion.

“This is a pivotal time for the wellness world and we firmly believe that there’s an urgency to bring together industry leaders and thinkers to map the many ways wellness can remake our world post-pandemic,” said Nancy Davis, chief creative officer and executive director. “Offering a hybrid in-person and virtual Summit will make possible a more inclusive, global conversation than ever before, and one that underscores the GWS’ overarching mission of ‘Joining Together. Shaping the Future.’”

“The Summit’s DNA is profoundly global, and in this unprecedented year of shifting travel restrictions, we’re committed to an in-depth, truly global conversation which necessitates a combination of in-person and virtual delegates. Adding virtual access means we can bring all the expert insights–and that famed ‘spirit’ of the Summit–to the entire global wellness community,” said Susie Ellis, chair and CEO of GWS.

Capacity at the in-person Summit at The Breakers Palm Beach is limited; delegates are urged to register ASAP. Learn more here.
