Expert Panel to Lead Discussion on Important Report from the John W. Brick Foundation on Movement & Mental Wellness
At this Wellness Sector Spotlight, a distinguished panel of health and wellness experts took a deep dive into important findings from the John W. Brick Foundation’s new “Move Your Mental Health Report.” This landmark report synthesizes 30 years of scientific studies linking physical activity to mental wellbeing and provides recommendations on incorporating results with a well-rounded treatment plan. The information will be of great interest to movement and fitness professionals.
During the Zoom session, the panel focused on trends highlighted in the report. The study also includes 20 different exercise modalities, from yoga to running, and explains how each influences different mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety and schizophrenia.
