On the Agenda

Wellness Design and Architecture

The convergence of wellness design and architecture with innovative sustainability approaches is reshaping the future in exciting new ways—and it’s a topic on the agenda at the 2024 Global Wellness Summit in Scotland. Anna Dyson, the Hines professor of architecture at the Yale Schools of Architecture and Environment and the founding director of the Yale Center for Ecosystems in Architecture, will co-present a talk alongside her husband, Christopher Sharples, a founding principal at SHoP Architects. Together, they will explore the intersections of architecture, wellbeing, sustainability, water and materials. Their work is internationally recognized for its innovative approaches to sustainable building practices. Additionally, sustainable furniture industry pioneer Martin Penrose, managing director of Benchmark, will have a keynote conversation with sought-after consultant on green building projects Timothy Amscombe-Bell, director of Sustainable Design Collective. They will discuss the benefits of embracing a circular mindset to ensure a more sustainable design-build ecosystem and the value of third-party verified standards to transparently communicate the impact and value of sustainability-focused approaches.
