Chris co-founded Studio Octopi, a London architecture firm specializing in new and restored outdoor swim sites and pools worldwide. The practice focuses on water access rights, particularly in cities. Chris, a globally recognized expert in urban swimming and tidal pools, published “Sea Pools – 66 Saltwater Sanctuaries from Around the World” (Batsford, 2023). He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and co-founded Future Lidos Group and the Swimmable Cities alliance.
