Dr. Richard H. Carmona was the 17th surgeon general of the US and author of a landmark report on the health effects of secondhand smoke. He is also a decorated US Army Special Forces veteran and a distinguished professor with a wide range of experience in health care policy and management, clinical care, and research. Currently, Dr. Carmona is chief of health innovations at Canyon Ranch, and serves as director on several publicly-traded corporate boards and private companies.
